Import from other software

Bring parties, items, opening balances and stock from Busy, Marg, Vyapar, myBillBook, Tally (XML) or any Excel or CSV. Check the columns, map units, groups and GST rates, and see a full preview before anything is written. Old bills are listed, not posted.

This guide is for RoboBill 0.2, coming November 2026. Today's release is 0.1.1.

The keys shown are the default keys; Utilities > Keys in RoboBill can change them.

How to

Import from Busy

  1. In Busy, export the account list and the item list to Excel (Alt+E).
  2. In RoboBill open Masters > O and choose Busy.
  3. Choose the files and check the columns and the mapping.
  4. When the preview has no problems, press F2. Read the match report.

Save the match report

  1. After the import, press Save the match report (CSV).
