Your old data, your old codes
The import reads the DBF files from a copy of your old program's folder: parties, items, opening balances and stock, keeping your codes. A rehearsal checks the totals against your old trial balance before anything is written.

Modern where it matters
Windows 10 and 11, Mac and Linux, works offline, the owner's phone app, and Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati screens. GST return files and encrypted cloud backups come in 0.2.
How to move
- Copy your old program's data folder (the one with the .DBF files) to a USB drive or another folder.
- In RoboBill, open the DBF import and point it at the copy. Run it as a rehearsal and check party balances and stock totals.
- Import, then bill on RoboBill. Your old program and its files are left as they were.

Questions
Which old programs can it read?
Programs that keep their data in DBF files: FoxPro, Visual FoxPro, dBase and Clipper programs. A general mapping covers the usual layouts; if yours is unusual, send us a copy and we set the mapping up with you.
Names in my old program are in a Marathi or Gujarati font. Will they come across?
Names typed in the Kruti Dev font are converted to proper Unicode. Other legacy fonts such as Shree-Lipi need a sample first; send ten names to [email protected] and we check.
Can my staff keep the keys they know?
Yes. Keys are set per installation, so if your staff saved with F10 in the old program, Save can be F10 in RoboBill too.
