Backup and restore

RoboBill backs up every night (10 pm by default) and keeps the newest two. Copy a backup to a USB drive, restore one, and on paid plans keep encrypted restore points in the cloud. Year-end close and the integrity check are here too.

This guide is for RoboBill 0.2, coming November 2026. Today's release is 0.1.1.

The keys shown are the default keys; Utilities > Keys in RoboBill can change them.

How to

Copy a backup to USB

  1. Open Utilities > B.
  2. Press F5 for a fresh backup.
  3. Press C and choose the USB drive.

Restore

  1. Move to the backup and press R.
  2. Type RESTORE and press Enter. The books as they were are kept as a copy.

Cloud backup (paid plans)

  1. In Cloud backup press Back up now.
  2. Press Test restore now and then to check it.
  3. Write down the recovery code on paper and keep it safe.
